Date for your Diary.

Do you want front row seats to Britain’s favourite yacht race?

Watch the boats sail over 50 miles from Cowes, while you sit in luxury onboard SY Jabez.

The Round The Island Race is a one-day yacht race around the Isle of Wight organised by the Island Sailing Club. It starts on the famous Royal Yacht Squadron line in Cowes and heads west to The Needles, round St Catherine’s Point and Bembridge Ledge buoy. The race is the fourth largest sporting event in the UK after the London Marathon and the Great North and South Runs. It regularly attracts over 1,200 boats and around 10,000 sailors, making it one of the largest yacht races in the world. Competitors come from all over the UK and worldwide to follow the 50 nautical mile course round the Isle of Wight.

Entries are open for the 2023 edition of the Round the Island Race, which takes place on Saturday 1st July, and we have opened our charter books to welcome you onboard for the best seats in the house! The race is a great opportunity to watch world-renowned sailors racing against families and first-time racers. Although the majority of the fleet will take many hours to complete the race, the course records stand at 3h 43m 50s for a monohull boat, set by Mike Slade on ICAP Leopard in 2013.

An early start from Poole Quay will be worth this incredible sight. Book now to watch up close, or give us a call with a proposal to enter it!
