Get ready for Britain’s biggest free air and land festival by the sea this summer! The Bournemouth Air Festival will feature an incredible four days of aerobatics from the RAF Red Arrows, Typhoon and Battle of Britain planes, with more announcements expected soon. The award-winning family friendly event includes dazzling dusk performances and entertainment on land. After a historic Platinum Jubilee last year, marking 70 years of service by the Queen to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, we’re so excited to bring you this year’s festival in the year of the King’s Coronation.

At Avada Yachts we are running charters for the airshow weekend so you can watch this amazing sight happen above you from the water. There’s no fighting for space, or missing an event while you’re queuing for a drink! With a hard cover over the cockpit, the boat is ideal for all weathers, meaning you can have the best view in style and comfort. See below for ‘what’s happening.’

RAFAT Red Arrows

For the second year running Bournemouth is delighted to welcome back the nation’s favourite flying display team, the Red Arrows to display once again on all 4 days of the Festival.

RAF Typhoon

Ripping through Bournemouth’s skies the mighty Typhoon will be back again this year and, like the Red Arrows, will be displaying on all 4 days!

The Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) “Lest we Forget”

The full complement of the Lancaster, the Hurricane and the ever popular Spitfire, hero of World War II, will once again be flying majestically over Bournemouth Bay this year commemorating those who have fallen in the service of this country, to promote the modern day Air Force and inspire the future generations.

RAF HC6A Chinook

The unmistakable “wocka wocka” of the Chinook is one of the most distinctive sounds in the sky and we are delighted to welcome the team back to the festival again in 2022

Night Air Displays

Bournemouth Air Festival wouldn’t be the award-winning event it is without its incredible Night Air dusk displays.
