Things to see and do…
Once on board, the world is your oyster. The geography and natural beauty of the Dorset and Hampshire coastline can only be fully explored in a lifetime.
We also have the most wonderful hotels, restaurants, and leisure facilities imaginable. We share some links below:
To see
Poole Harbour
Poole Harbour is one of the world’s largest natural harbours and an exceptional cruising destination on England’s South Coast. Its sheltered waters, gentle tides and spectacular scenery provide the perfect setting for a relaxed day aboard Seven Days.
Stretching across more than 100 miles of beautiful shoreline, the harbour offers a remarkable blend of secluded anchorages, sandy beaches, historic islands and vibrant waterfront destinations. As you glide through the narrow entrance at Sandbanks, where the famous chain ferry connects Poole with the Isle of Purbeck, an extraordinary sailing playground unfolds before you.
To one side, seven miles of golden beaches extend from Sandbanks through Bournemouth, while to the south lies the breathtaking sweep of Studland Bay, a favourite anchorage renowned for its crystal-clear waters and stunning views across Old Harry Rocks and the Jurassic Coast.
Scattered throughout the harbour are nine islands, each with its own unique character. The most famous, Brownsea Island, is a National Trust sanctuary rich in wildlife, ancient woodland and history. Keep an eye out for red squirrels, peacocks and some of the finest natural scenery in Dorset.
Whether you choose to anchor in a tranquil bay, enjoy lunch ashore at a waterfront restaurant, or simply relax on deck with a glass of champagne as the sun sets over the harbour, Poole Harbour offers a truly unforgettable yachting experience.
Beyond the Harbour
For guests looking to venture further afield, Seven Days offers the opportunity to explore some of the most spectacular coastline in the UK. Leaving the sheltered waters of Poole Harbour behind, the Jurassic Coast unfolds to the west, while the iconic landmarks of the Solent and Isle of Wight await to the east.
Cruise past the dramatic chalk stacks of Old Harry Rocks and along the World Heritage Jurassic Coast to discover hidden coves, towering cliffs and crystal-clear waters. Highlights include the striking arch of Durdle Door, the sheltered turquoise waters of Lulworth Cove, and the rugged beauty of Kimmeridge Bay and St Alban’s Head.
Closer to Poole Harbour, Hengistbury Head offers a stunning natural backdrop where ancient heathland meets sweeping beaches and panoramic views across Christchurch Bay.
Heading east, guests can enjoy a leisurely cruise through the Solent, passing the historic Hurst Castle, built by Henry VIII to guard the western entrance to the Solent. Beyond lies the Isle of Wight, where the world-famous chalk stacks of The Needles rise dramatically from the sea, creating one of Britain’s most iconic coastal landmarks.
Whether you choose a relaxing coastal cruise, a scenic lunch at anchor, wildlife spotting along the cliffs, or a full-day adventure exploring the Jurassic Coast and Isle of Wight, our crew can tailor an itinerary to create an unforgettable yachting experience.
